Enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded water lovers through inspirational mentoring in creating individual breathwork development and cold water immersion, under the watchful eyes of an expert coach. Build confidence in your own abilities within structured training.

Regular classes are the ideal way to develop skills guided step by step in a structured program. The classes place a strong emphasis on aligning the mindset to help build self awareness during breathwork, cold water immersion and in-water training. In this way, the training structure and emphasis on strength, confidence and freedom provides the opportunity to express one's own individualism through stillness and movement, static and dynamic aquatics.


The classes are designed to share tools and tactics to immerse in the sea, no matter the conditions. Our experienced coach will help you develop technical skills and open your mindset to step by step enhance your water wellbeing. Each session will be tailored to the conditions and focus on introducing participants to the full array of skills and techniques that promote connection with the water.


Join professional Freediving Instructor Trainer, Marlon Quinn, on these 1-hour shore breathwork and breath training sessions for up to six guests and enhance your aquatic skills and cold water immersion abilities.

The personalised coaching and training session are open to all levels of marine enthusiasts interested in refining their development, maximum depth for the class is 1.5m.


Weekly classes available September to February:

These classes benefit freedivers and non-freedivers. For certified freedivers who have successfully completed a PADI Basic Freediver course or certified freedivers it will assist in enhancing development of skills and technique (eg Apnea Academy Discovery, AIDA 1*, SSI Basic Freediving). 

For non-freedivers, it's the perfect way to begin your pathway to discovering the beauty of apnea / freediving, with each session targeting optimal development through shore-based stretching and breathwork, and in-water static and dynamic exercises.

During the sessions participants are constantly monitored for safety by a dedicated instructor who will, in turn, also be able to give valuable tips for those who desire to improve.

Freediving Class Highlights:

Terms & Conditions:

  • Meeting point is White Cliffs Foreshore Campground Beach, in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula
  • Directions to White Cliffs Foreshore Campground
  • All students must be minimum 16 years of age
  • You must have your own equipment, including swimwear, wetsuit, mask, fins and snorkel. Weightbelt is not required
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time dressed and be ready to start with your gear
  • A warm wetsuit is recommended for comfort and best performance
  • Please bring swimmers, a towel, a hat, sunglasses and your own re-usable water bottle
  • Guests must have moderate swimming skills as a minimum. Training sessions do not cater for people with no swimming ability. The Instructor retains the right to refuse participation
  • Guests with back, neck, shoulder or heart conditions, those who are pregnant or who have injuries/conditions that may cause a risk to their health are advised to not do these activities, or do so at their own risk
  • All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving
  • Some pre-existing medical conditions (eg asthma, heart conditions, etc) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor
  • Sea conditions can be unpredictable at times, this may cause physical injury, psychological stress or motion sickness
  • Activities are rarely cancelled, the experience provider will reschedule your activity only in the case of severe weather which would make the experience unsafe
  • Subject to minimum numbers and may be rescheduled if minimum numbers are not met
