Master the art of freediving on this third level freediving course for up to eight students.
If you’re an advanced freediver who wants to learn how to fine-tune your lifestyle and training so that you can approach elite freediving levels, then the PADI Master Freediver course is for you. Through focused sessions, you’ll bring your static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion and constant weight skills to the next level.
To enrol in a PADI Master Freediver course you must be at least 18 years old and have a PADI Advanced Freediver certification (or a qualifying certification from another freediver organisation).
Honing your techniques in the classroom and pool, you’ll learn the ultimate techniques for depth freediving. Once your pool training is complete, you begin your open water depth training. Completing a minimum of two certification training dives, you’ll become a PADI Master Freediver as you dive deeper than 27 meters comfortably and easily.

  • Learn to freedive 70m length in the pool, to a depth of 27m in the sea and hold your breath for over 3:30 seconds comfortably

Course Timetable

  • E-learning in your own time before the course (allow up to 10 hours)
  • Day 1 - 2hrs Classroom theory and practical breathing & relaxation skills, followed by
  • 3hrs Pool training for static, dynamic and rescue techniques
  • Day 2 - Open Water Boat Dives x 2

  • Session fees are non-refundable (unless the session is cancelled by us for unforeseen circumstances), please choose your experience with care. Trip insurance is highly recommended as cover for unforeseen cancellations
  • Courses are held in Rosebud, VIC
  • Directions to YAWA Aquatic Centre
  • All Students must be minimum 14 years of age
  • Please arrive at the theory venue 15 minutes before commencement time to ensure you have enough time to check in and get settled
  • Please dress comfortably
  • Please bring a bag with your swimmers, 5mm wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel, weightbelt, a towel and your own re-usable water bottle. Rental equipment is available.
  • Guests must be able to swim. Courses do not cater for people with no swimming ability. The Instructor retains the right to refuse participation in which case your attendance is forfeited
  • Guests with back, neck, or heart conditions, those who are pregnant or who have injuries/conditions that may cause a risk to their health are advised not to participate, or do so at their own risk
  • A Diver's Medical Statement and Questionnaire must be submitted to attend the course
  • A diving medical (AS4005.1) may be required prior to commencement of the course
  • All participants under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian sign all applicable waiver/medical forms
  • At least one 3'30" static breath-hold attempt and 70m underwater dynamic swim must be performed
  • Subject to minimum numbers and may be rescheduled if minimum numbers are not met
  • The supplier reserves the right to substitute the venue / pool and / or change the day’s itinerary without notice
